SC inmates targeted military members in 'sextortion,' stole $560,000

I don't know if this is as big as Al Capone, but this could be the start of something big. One prison, 442 service members, $560,000. How many prisons are there in the U.S?

Plus, why, as per the head of the SC prison system, is Congress preventing the installation of the cellphone blocking equipment ? I’d like to know the who, how and why of that particular claim.

Ultimately, this impacts military readiness. If a service member is being extorted, you could hardly expect them to be focused on their job, whatever that might be.
