The problem is, there have been many times when someone of another faith has said they wanted to just ask a sincere question, and it turns out they've purposely done it to start a fight. Once that person is replied to, it breaks the caucus if another poster tells the moderator (a lot of times, the "other poster" is trolling in tandem with the questioner). So, a question may be ignored if members of the caucus think it might be trolling, no matter how innocent the question is.
Per the Religion Moderator's profile page:
Caucus threads are closed to any poster who is not currently and actively a member of the caucus group.The exception:For instance, if it says “Catholic Caucus” and you are not currently, actively Catholic, then do not post to the thread.
A reply post may be removed from a caucus thread if the moderator recognizes the poster as a non-member.
However, if the poster of the caucus invites you, I will not boot you from the thread.That's why it's not a good idea to ask a question if you're not of that faith. FreepMail is better.
