It would probably be best to FreepMail the person who posted the thread with your question. If you post a question and anyone responds, it could break the caucus designation.

BTW, any faith can designate a thread a caucus thread, as long as the article doesn't mention a different faith. Sometimes that's the only way to have a discussion without trolls.

It was Jim's idea.

I’ve posted on Catholic caucus threads although I am not a Catholic and it was fine. I either asked questions or made comments that were not derogatory or critical of Catholicism. AFAIK the rules about caucus threads are no going there to criticize, but supportive comments or genuine inquiries are okay.
