My beloved Freeper sister maica and I joined the hundreds of thousands who lined Constitution Avenue when the casket of Ronald Reagan was carried by horse drawn caisson along Constitution Avenue to lie in state in the Capitol. It was very moving.
The media was stunned at the enormous outpouring of affection for Reagan when he died. Even though he won 49 states in the 1984 election, they probably didnt associate with anyone who had voted for him.

Wow, what a beautiful memory to have Freee-dame. The media was out of step then too. I even remember them making those comments.

I was there too. I joined with the DC FReepers. I was dating Common Tator at the time and we drove to DC for a few days. My FReeperPup Oliver was in attendance also.
We were in the area in front where Nancy transferred vehicles. She got a huge applause and cheers. She acknowledged, We were close. The pain was so strong

I have visited him at his gravesite sometimes. Not since Nancy passed through.
