I'll gladly put this 81-year-old mind up against anyone -- including most Mensa members.
Of course, I started reading at three (first recognized word: "Churchill"). And, on my first standardized aptitude/achievement test, (7th grade) was reading at the mid-year college sophomore level.
I still do crossword puzzles without pen or pencil every night before bedtime. Have only failed to complete six (one letter not filled in -- intersections of two proper nouns) in the last dozen years...
