Bible says there are friends who are closer than brothers. I totally think it means your “family” is who you are close to not necessarily by blood.

Wellllllllll, on average . . . dad used to say that “blood was thicker than water.” He proved not so. And Friends have tended to be more reliably and tenaciously closer. I still have friends from Jr High I’m still in touch with.
