“I don’t know that the commission failed - it was transferred to DHS ... TBD ;)”

~

Perhaps they KNEW those 13 states wouldn’t report any/all correct voter information and they had to set up the less formal investigation group destined to fail, so later they could add the VOTER INVESTIGATION mandate to DHS?

The Commission did not ‘fail’, it disbanded and dissolved into DHS. DHS has the investigatory muscle to monitor and report election fraud. Whereas the DOJ needs a referral and the FBI a probable cause, DHS has the monitoring capability and undercover personnel to investigate and report.

The Commission was initially set up to take reports from people coming forward with testimonies and also for states to submit to audits. This was quickly evaluated to be inefficient whereas DHS based on only one probable cause case may coordinate with intel agencies to evaluate recorded intel for corroboration. NSA and NGA have the ability to monitor all suspects, their comms, their geo-traces, their financial transactions, their meetings.

IMO DHS expended resources to protect key Senate races and not so much House races. The new Senate will be much stronger, working more closely with the WH, more focused on investigating wrongdoing. McConnell has redeemed himself. He and POTUS are now working more in line now.

The House doesn’t much matter for now. From the Omnibus earlier this year, the military is funded to the hilt through to latter half of 2020, $700B for this fiscal year, $716B for next fiscal year. POTUS has already warned that he has the authority to declare the southern border a risk to national security and to release military funds to have the Army Corps of Engineers finish the Wall.

The Caravans are great props for POTUS’s argument for a Wall.

So although there is plenty of election fraud to note and investigate, its impact is minimal to POTUS’s agenda. The fraud participants are in the crosshairs of DHS-supported law enforcement. I think and would like to see evidence come out over this next year that compels mandatory Voter ID, citizenship checks, and election security features such as traceable ballots that preserve vote privacy, such paper scanned for place of origin, date of production, date of distribution, etc. It may be that such election security features are implemented now, we just don’t know about it publicly. Realistically though, these reforms will be campaign issues for the 2020 elections except that election security features both cyber and physical are authorized for DHS to work now and into the future.
