If a person wants to know truth, and is willing to give up fondly held beliefs, and doesn’t mind admitting “Wow, I was wrong”, it’s amazing how much truth can be known. It takes a strong desire to know truth, and humility to admit being wrong or ignorant, and not give a Shitt what other people think of me. :-D
