I listened to the video you linked to. I just had 2 grand kids finish up their military service, and over the years, had very many family members who served. Dad was a Marine, grandpa did 2 world wars in the navy, both of his sons served in WW2, one in the navy, one in Army and Navy. They sons were military during Viet Nam while I was a military wife back then.
About 8 years ago I gave a year to the VFW.
So yes, there are many ways in which one can be of support.
