Easy peasy. In Word, do a Search/Replace with "^p" (caret p). ^p finds paragraph markers. You probably want to replace them with spaces, giving one long paragraph.
I thought I tried that, to no avail. Let me try again. There was a paragraph symbol I came across consisting of ^ followed immediately by a downward caret that is under the 2 on my numeric keypad on the new Microslop ergonomic 4,000 v1.0 keyboard. But I have never found out how to key that downward caret under the 2 on said numeric keypad. Frustrating.
