Hugs and hugs again. It’s SO different to HEAR the poems rather than just read them. One of my favorites I haven’t figured out how to handle. Henry wrote the poem from the point of view of gold ore in the ground, who lived in blackness that was suddenly greyed and then opened to show the face of a miner. Then the gold describes his life being turned into a gold coin and being passed hand to hand over the years. The strangest mind for early 1800s. Henry also published a piece of prose from the POV of a pine tree, a description of his trip to the moon, and his observations of the cultures of the various planets seen through a huge telescope carved from the ice of the River Volga. It is the purest fun to work with this stuff.
