“The Times/Herald confirmed at least 33,000 votes to be manually recounted in the U.S. Senate race between Republican Rick Scott and Democrat Bill Nelson and 113,600 in the race between Republican Matt Caldwell and Democrat Nicole “Nikki” Fried for commissioner of agriculture.
The total number is likely higher though, based on preliminary data compiled by the Times/Herald. Comparing the number of votes in each race with the number of total ballots cast, there could be more than 125,000 over votes and under votes in the Senate race and more than 225,000 in the commissioner of agriculture race.
Official results need to be turned in by noon Sunday.
An over vote occurs when a voter marks two candidates in a race. An under vote happens when a voter leaves a race blank. Hand recounts of these ballots ensures there are no machine errors in reading votes.”

So a manual recount is not counting every vote, but only those whose ballot indicates that they did not choose to mark one of the candidates or if both candidates are filled in on the scanned ballot. I believe this is statewide, not just Broward and Palm Beach counties.
So three days is enough time.
The main question is, in what counties did the majority of overvotes occur, and did they follow a pattern for the same three races. If so, it would seem that someone has been busy with a marker.
What also is interesting is, if they find ballots where only the races were marked, but the Judicial retention questions and the 12 Florida Constitution Amendments were not marked. This would indicate ballots created after the election.
We had a very long ballot this year.

North Korea says it has tested ‘ultramodern tactical weapon’
SEOUL, South Korea (AP) — North Korean leader Kim Jong Un observed the successful test of an unspecified “newly developed ultramodern tactical weapon,” state media reported Friday, in an apparent bid to apply pressures on the United States and South Korea amid a stalemated nuclear diplomacy.
It didn’t appear to be a nuclear device or a long-range missiles targeting the mainland U.S., a string of which last year had many fearing war before the North turned to engagement and diplomacy early this year. Still, any mention of weapons testing could influence the direction of currently stalled diplomacy between Washington and Pyongyang that’s meant to rid the North of its nuclear weapons.

Top Democrats on Thursday rejected the Justice Department’s defense of acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker, calling the official opinion a “fatally flawed” attempt to pervert the Constitution. They want Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, a man they better trust to oversee the special counsel’s probe into the 2016 elections, to assume the role of acting attorney general and are battling hard to subvert President Trump’s decision to go around Mr. Rosenstein and name Mr. Whitaker.
“President Trump purposefully skipped him and every other individual who meets these conditions,” the Democrats — Sen. Dianne Feinstein and Reps. Adam Schiff and Jerrold Nadler — said in a joint statement. Mr. Trump demanded Attorney General Jeff Sessions resign and designated Mr. Whitaker, his former chief of staff, to assume the role as acting chief. The Justice Department says that is legal because Mr. Whitaker, while not serving in a Senate-confirmed position, was high enough at the department to be eligible under the Vacancies Reform Act. Democrats say the VRA takes a back seat to another law that lays out a succession pattern at the Justice Department. That law says the deputy attorney general would usually take over.
The Justice Department, though, says the laws aren’t mutually exclusive, and said it’s opined since the Bush years — well before Mr. Trump was in office — that a president could use the VRA to name someone other than the deputy as acting attorney general. The bigger fight is over the Constitution, and a clause that says principal officers must have undergone Senate confirmation. The Justice Department said that doesn’t hold true for temporary acting officers, and pointed to an occasion in 1866 when a non-confirmed person served as acting attorney general. Democrats mocked the department for having to go back to the Civil War era to justify Mr. Trump’s pick. “For more than a century, the executive branch has understood, and Congress has agreed, that the attorney general, including one serving in an acting capacity, is a principal officer who must be nominated by the president and confirmed by the Senate,” the Democrats said.
