Leadership positions in the House and Senate are based upon who is chosen by lobbyists to direct their money to the back-benchers.
A Paul Ryan, for example, can count on a large number of votes, both for his Speakership and Bills backed by his money sources, because he can direct those big donors where to place their campaign contributions.
Jim Jordan will get some votes from principled Congressmen, but not nearly enough to unseat the pimps like Ryan who connect lobbyist Johns to the whores who are willing to sell their votes.
Yes, I should have added “...for moral men”. We have too few, of course.
We have whores of donors and lobbyists. Period.
But, for the courageous few. Somehow they stick, and they appeal to the right donors and lobbies of.my.choice., if we must have the mostly wicked things.
