I don’t know much about fishing, but isn’t there a technique wherein you let the fish run the line for a while and then set the hook before you reel it in?
Sometimes if you try and reel in the fish too soon, you lose it.
Softly, softly, catchee fishee. I suppose so. I am not a very subtle person - nor a fisherman. I have done some trapping, with some success; mostly the trap is found empty.
