We picked up leaves for nearly 20 years. Last year, my husband mowed them with a mulching blade. It was like magic. We have Sycamores and Hickory trees. And Dogwoods. And lots more.

Luckily I have inherited my dad’s 1992 MTD riding mower. It has three bags and it’s a monster. The best time to do a lot of leaves is when they’re slightly wet believe it or not. It weighs them down so you don’t have to empty the bag as much. I looked at those big attached baggers but they want crazy money for them. I’ve never tried mulching them, I think I have way too maney to do that.
