Same old story. A state on the brink of bankruptcy finally pulls its head out of its collective ass and elects a governor like Scott Walker.
Years later, after the mess is cleaned up, bankruptcy is avoided, taxes reduced, the sheeple forget what an effin mess they were in, and voilà! Time to bring back the corrupt spendthrifts!
I’m really growing tired of people who do not learn, or who have such short memories that learning is impossible.
Well, Wisconsin. Back to bloated budgets, public-union/state incest, and eventual bankruptcy.
You voted for it again. This time, I hope you get what you want!
Boooo. Walker lost?
Last I heard he was up by a hundred or two hundred or something. Well within the margin of cheating. Dang.
Bagster
Been pondering the whole voting thing.
Have about reached the conclusion that there needs to be a test for voters.
1. Must be at least 30 years old. Particularly men's brains don't totally mature until they are 35.
2. Must take a test of critical thinking--what is it and can the voter do it given a variety of contexts and complex issues.
3. An IQ of at least 90 or 95.
4. Men only? I don't know. Perhaps men only unless a woman had demonstrated a capacity to successfully run a business or large family? The tendency to decide critical issues almost exclusively on emotions for a large percentage of women--is a real hazard to the Republic. But not all women are that way and some men are that way.
5. Must be a citizen at least 5 years and speak English before voting. Torn about the English part but it could be one measure of having been integrated into the American culture--whatever that is. LOL.
6. Must document a stable work record of at least 5 years.
7. Must document a set of stable family or social network or church or club relationships.
8. Must be able to discuss the main pros & cons features of a representative Republic vs a socialism/Communism dictatorship.
9. Must be able to define and describe tyrannical globalism and why it is antithetical to life, liberty, freedom, health, decency.
10. Must be able to defend capitalism as the most viable and most fair economic system.
