College football rankings for week 11 have been released. Alabama remains the top-ranked team, while West Virginia, Syracuse, and Boston College made significant leaps in the polls.
Washington, which clipped Stanford, 27-23, moved into the AP Poll at No. 20.
Syracuse, who defeated Wake Forest, 41-24, surged nine spots to No. 13, due to a combination of their win and losses from other ranked teams. Boston College vaulted seven spots to No. 17 on the strength of a 31-21 victory at Virginia Tech. The Orange and Eagles both made 11-point leaps in the Coaches Poll.
NC State, Iowa State, Michigan State, and Cincinnati all moved into the AP Poll.
Teams that dropped out of the AP Poll include Utah, Houston, Iowa, Virginia, and Texas A&M.
The FCS Coaches Poll will be released on Monday.

That’s because college football is a extremely regional sport. People root for their school and don’t really care about the other teams. However, Notre Dame is well liked in the Midwest and the East Coast. There is a reason they have their own television deal. They bring in money. I’m not saying it’s right, it’s just reality. Like I said it’s a corrupt sport.
LSU gave up 29 points
The only serious competitor left may be Clemson. Not sure if either Michigan or Notre Dame will have a chance, though.
Notre Dame . . . the greatest university in the world!!!

Clemson was also fortunate to escape College Station with a win against Texas A&M.
Here is another one for you.
Hugely. As in, that play is hugely important for them to control their destiny.
When did the word very become out of fashion?
In the Summer of 93 I was working as Rec Director at a Baptist retreat in the Western Carolina mountains. One of the groups each week was maybe 750 kids attending a program called “Centrifuge”. The kids loved it.
One morning a little red headed freckle faced girl was leaning on the equipment check out window of the Rec Shack. She was resting and drinking a coke. The girl who was keeping the shack began a conversation with her.
When she said that she was from Drew Mississippi, I asked her if she knew Archie Manning. She replied that he was her Uncle. I could definitely see the family resemblance.
Mullen should just play all Freshmen and Sophomores the rest of the way, the rest can take a hike, especially Franks. No more McElwain garbage.
