I remember attending a Mass a long time ago and not understanding a word because it was all in Latin. And then later on reading that conservative Catholics were upset with the loss of the Latin Mass. Although I cannot understand the depth of the loss, it does stun me to know there are only 300 such churches left.

But you followed along in English with the missal which contains both languages, correct? Latin Mass is offered in many parishes throughout the world, many more than three hundred. Near me there are 4 churches which have at least one Latin Mass.

There is the Traditional Latin Mass (TLM) or Tridentine, then there is the Novus Ordo in Latin which is a translation of the new mass INTO Latin.

I’m sorry my remark caused you to apparently and somehow conflate the numbers of masses said, around the world, with my number of Traditional Catholic churches that still exist today, in the United States. Throw in Canada, and you still can’t find 300.

I was speaking exclusively to the trace number of *bricks and mortar churches* left in the USA, who are fully functioning, FULL TIME, as a recognizable Traditional Catholic parish church, (since Vatican II).

Try to find me the number of Traditional Catholic parish churches, bricks and mortar, that offer exclusively the Traditional Latin Mass of old, and no other.

Find me even twenty, in the USA. (I sound like Abraham.)

Throw in Canada.
