We’ve owned a 40 ft sailboat for about 15 years. Enough with the sailing now. Lol. Looking around for a nice 41 to 43 ft aft cabin motor yacht. I want a full size fridge, a walk around bed, and a shower stall! Yep yep
I also want to be able to just turn the key and go.
That’s what the Ricker 42 got us. It’s called a “fast trawler” because it has the trawler hull shape but can cruise at 14 knots without using too much diesel. We had two a/c units, a generator (so we could use the a/c at anchor if needed), a regular sized refrigerator/freezer, smooth-top electric stove and convection microwave oven. We even had a combo washer/dryer installed. It held two hundred gallons of fresh water, 400 gallons of diesel, TWO heads with vacu-flush toilets and walk-in showers, two staterooms with queen beds, a built-in wine chiller and 35” LCD flat screen TV. We were livin’ fine!
