No sailing thread is replete without mention of the most influential sailor of my life, WF Buckley, Jr.

His books, Airborne (1976), Atlantic High (1982) and Racing Through Paradise (1987), captivated me.

And David Hayes, an accomplished sailor and friend.

"Fair Winds and Following Seas" my friends. I miss you and carry many fond memories of the very good times.

My Old Man and the Sea is a favorite of mine that i havent thought about for a while. Have to reread it soon! Another of my favorites is Sailing Alone Around the World by Joshua Slocum.
