You’re right. But while you can say a lot of vile things in this country nowadays, there are certain taboo things you cannot say lest the thought crimes/hate speech police come down upon you. Even if what you have said is undeniably true.
But this is something beyond political correctness - it’s full fledged thought control.
What’s next? Do you get fired if you point out black people were slaves? And what happens to you if you watch a Stepin Fetchit film? Jail?
My son worked in London for 3 1/2 years and at one point he told us that he never realized it, but in America, there are simply things you can not discuss. He said that when he got together with friends over there, they could discuss anything.
