The Conners is already in trouble.
The trades report without editorial comment that ABC has ordered only more episode to be added to the ten it already contracted for this season.
A full half season order is 13, which means ABC didnt even fill that out. And they most certainly didnt ask for a number like 22 which would take The Conners to the end of the current TV season next spring.
The 1 episode order makes me think its just a finale to the ten as a good will gesture. And then The Conners would go back to the mists of TVs own walking dead.
So far, The Conners ratings have been less than spectacular. The first episode brought in 11 million viewers, the second week dropped to 7 million. If the drop continues, it may be too expensive to keep around, given John Goodmans and Laurie Metcalfs salaries.

TV: Without Roseanne, The Conners TeetersABC Only Orders 1 More Episode Instead of 3, or Even a Full Season
Well, ABC really showed Rosanne, didn’t they?
They showed Rosanne, almost as well as NBC showed Megan Kelly.
It's bad enough that ABC dumped Roseanne Barr (whom I am not really a fan of) for saying the sorts of things that just get shrugs when Libtards say them.
But what really sent me were the stories a month or so ago where ABC suits began to feel regretful because they belatedly realized that they killed a workable franchise--and that his spin-off was likely doomed. In other words, their precious principles are for sale.
Ha Ha
That backstabbing cast makes me puke... especially Sara Gilbert.
On the bargain bin at Big Lots in 3-2-1....
Geez. The show was called Rosanne. Ive never watched new, or old versions, except maybe in passing. What did the ABC brain trust think was going to happen?
Well, that’s one more episode that I’ll never watch.
What a shame. *yawn*
DITTO.........
“The Conners” is un-funny formulaic bullshit designed, written, and acted by liberals to appeal to what they think conservatives like.
They thought they could repeat what happened when Valerie Harper exited her NBC sitcom in the ‘80s and squeeze a few more years out of it (as ‘The Hogan Family’).
Cue Nelson Muntz.
What’s amazing is this was all to solely shut up and ostracize Barr for her outspoken Trump support.
Same way they showed Tim Allen, right?
I LOVE THE RICARDOS didn’t last long after they fired Lucy.
John Goodman looks like sh*t
