Gunman targets Pittsburgh synagogue in 'hate crime;' 8 reported dead

"It's a very horrific crime scene, one of the worst that I've seen," Pittsburgh public safety director Wendell Hissrich told a news conference near the scene.

"This falls under hate crime," he said, adding there was no active threat to the community and that the shooter had been taken to a hospital.

KDKA television cited police sources as saying the gunman walked into the building and yelled “All Jews must die.”

A federal law enforcement official told Reuters that at least 8 people were killed.

Three police officers were shot and one was injured by shrapnel, Alleghany County spokeswoman Amie Downs said in an email.

Two of the six people injured were in critical condition, Downs said, but would not immediately say if the count of six injured people included the suspect.

I listened to this going down live on the tactical channel. Reportedly armed with an AR and three handguns. When he was taken into custody he still had one in his waistband and one on his ankle.

Unfortunately American Jews tend to be liberal and vote Democrat. That is the way it is at the temple I go to(Which I go to since its near my house within walking distance) Orthodox Jews vote Republican, the rest overwhelmingly vote Democrat

boys don’t do a bris at temple but for girls they do we just don’t call it one that is wh5 you see on tv they call it a baby making ceremony..for my nephew his bris was at my sister’s house the rabbi came over and did it

Baby boys have their bris usually in the synagogue. I believe this was not a bris, but a naming ceremony for a baby girl. Baby girls obviously do not need a bris, but they have a naming ceremony for them in the synagogue, which is also an event of great celebration.

'Hate' crimes only exist in the minds of leftists zealots [leftist prosecutors.] Suppose an American Korean beat the snot out of a Brazilian American: in the heat of battle, the Korean calls out, "Take THAT Paddy, you filthy Irish pig!" THAT, per se would be grounds for prosecution! Regardless of the circumstances, people have been found guilty of (the imaginary crime) by language used during the beatdown. The usual sentence is 5 years (consecutively) added to the sentence for the original assault charge(s). Gotta get back to my kitchen now...
