embarrassing the FBI is not a lawful reason for a redaction.

Is redaction and declassify the same thing ?

Do you remember the recent rule/law where Trump said he’s not going to let people hide stuff just cos it embarrasses them? He was talking about agencies...and I can’t find it, but I know the answer to when Q will post is in that rule. Help a gurl out?

Sorry, meant to answer you when I asked you a question. No, those are two different things.

Redactions are when you get a page and half of it is whited out. Names are covered.

Declassification is when a whole document goes from being Top Secret or some such designation that limits who can look at it and when it's declassified, anyone can look at it, it becomes discoverable in court, and it's open for FOI- unredacted.
