I have a fiercely liberal idiot friend from another site. We have been exchanging emails for several years. Initially, she was knee-jerk rabidly hostile and slavishly polarity response compelled respondent. Actually, that way for several years.

Very slightly at a time, was gradually able to get her to adjust her style and tone. Perhaps to see that she was responding 110% out of emotion with too often little to no logic or evidence behind her responses (not that she'd admit that).

Gradually was able to nudge her into a more rational exchange. She's still blindly and ignorantly hostile to Trump and virtually all conservative constructions on reality. However, there have come up some very few areas of overlapping perspective.

She's still dedicated to guaranteed income etc. etc. etc. socialism etc. etc.

And, she'll fling a lot of videos and articles at me espousing her perspectives and constructions on reality. All of them have so many holes as to be like a sieve but she's not near ready to see that.

Currently she rants about how the caravan is merely desperately poor people wanting a better life. Denies that there are Jihadi's etc. embedded in it. She denies that Soros has anything to do with it. As more info comes out I send her the evidence.

I rarely rise to her bait--mostly ignoring her ignorant, rigid, clueless statements. I affirm anything I can. And I affirm her more even tempered tone and attitude toward the exchange.

Initially she treated me as though I were the devil incarnate.

It has been a good training for me. Have had to be much more careful about my word choices and tone with her hair-trigger, thin-skinned self.

Don't know if she'll ever see The Light sufficiently to become saved in His Blood--but I try. She still insists that Christ was real but merely an also ran great teacher yada yada yada.
