Little tricks like this are good.
I rebuilt the bridge on my 5 string banjo just yesterday. After I finished it, I realized I could have customized it/made it more fancy. Right now the action is perfect and fun to play slide on. Maybe next time I change the strings...
I build electric solid bodies and glue is something I try to avoid.I fit nuts (brass,alluminium,bone etc) by bolting them to the neck with 2 mill stainless allen bolts.Every little bit less glue helps.
