In blue Maryland the nicknamed “rain tax” was a new tax imposed on people and businesses based on how much ground they covered with buildings, roads, parking lots, etc. it had to do with runoff. Our Republican ( butnever-Trumper) governor got rid of it.

That rain tax proposal that just doesn’t stop giving..... So when Balt. City couldn’t plant enough trees to clean the bay so it was a payback to Washington County that the GOV took our rural right of ways and planted junk trees and grasses that we could not trim or mow. We received that blessing because our county leadership gave $.01 on the Rain Tax. The democrats in the state leadership imposed our payback.
Politics can get ugly sometimes and unfortunately it’s the little guy that gets the business!
