I don’t believe this is the extent of mil taking care of the border. There’s a bit of time before the invaders get closer.

Of course unarmed NG are not much use; I believe when they were sent before for the “other” invasion, they were taking over other duties so BP could man the border. These NG sound like the same ones, still there.
