She might have called police before he showed he had a key, or because she was mad that he physically pushed her out of the way.

He seems to have not had the outside lock, or if he did, he refused to use it or show it to her.

I can’t imagine that if I walked up to my own place, and didn’t have my front key, that I would be confrontational with someone when trying to get them to let them in. I Know the conversation would include showing them my id, and my house key, and asking if they would mind escorting me up to my room to prove I live there.

But, this person seems to be well-trained in how to use his color to get his way with white women, in the sense that the new social order is that if a white woman does anything to stop a black man, it is the white woman who will be castigated for it.
