IMHO it has its benefits. I have learned an awful lot about small engine repair while binge watching a few channels. I can listen while I drive and even without looking at the screen can Intake a lot depending on the channel.

YT is the single best collection of educational videos and historical footage on Earth.
Outside of the politics, it is an invaluable resource.
