measured using a slide ruleA slide rule is an analog calculating device with log scales on it used for multiplication and division with the fancier models having trig functions as well. It is not a measuring device; maybe you're thinking of something like a dial caliper

The slide rule is calibrated logarithmically so gives enhanced measurements
