The 2900 bridge is GONE. Washed away. No more. Check out www.keyetv.com to see it collapse.
Kingsland is pretty much cut off. Today was the second biggest flood on the Llano River of all time. North of town above the 2900 bridge is the slab road coming from Llano (picture from last week’s flood is in the pics at the top of this thread) and it is closed still/again with the new flood today. The 1430 bridge on the south side of town is closed and under water. The 2900 bridge was on the west entry into town. The only way into town is from the north on Hwy. 29 (Fuzzy’s corner for those who know the area).
Annnnd, another lost boat is going past us right now. A boat that had floated into the neighbors’ yard early this morning floated off just a couple minutes ago. Don’t know why they didn’t secure it.
I expected a single pier shift -- with one section dropped -- that could be bypassed with a simple , temporary "Bailey Bridge" span.
Not so: that video showed the water peeling almost the entire concrete road deck off of the bridge!
The stupid CBS website won't allow image posting... :-(
Prayers up for all folks in the entire LCRV -- including Austin!

Hope you get to stay in your house!
Watch out for sudden water rises, though. That whole bridge deck is tumbling downstream. (You could see it in the video, with the water spouting up over chunks of it.) If a lot of it gets piled up at one spot, that would form a big, temporary dam just downstream from you...
Might be a good idea to have the car backed into the garage -- ready for a quick getaway...
Prayers UP!
