I have far, far more American Indian blood (Choctaw and Cherokee) than Warren, yet it would never occur to me to declare that I’m eligible for any preference based on that ethnicity.

She lied about her ancestry, received two jobs otherwise reserved for real Native Americans, and this is her pathetic attempt to cover herself.

Agree! My great grandmother was a member of the Cherokee nation that were driven out of TX into OK in the mid-19th century. Of course that happened before her birth and her family subsequently moved back into central TX in and around the Rockdale area. She married white man named Cook, who I really know nothing about, other than he was my mom’s grandfather. My grandparents nor my mom ever really talked about him so he may have been a ne’redowell. Anyway. I would never have considered claiming my heritage for benefits. (Although now that I’m retired, maybe I should... Just kidding.)

Fauxahontas should be required to pay back all the education money she got for her faux heritage lie.
