I read a post from someone I respect who raised concerns about one of the appointments to the ninth circuit. I wonder who recommended this man, certainly not the Heritage Foundation. The posts I saw were praising Trump for going around the CA senators. Unless Bumatay is a sleeper conservative he sounds like someone the CA senators would choose. Any thoughts? “Trump just nominated Patrick Bumatay to serve as a Circuit Judge on the nightmarishly liberal U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. I was a HUGE fan of AK when he ran for preezy. Bought his book, went to his Mich rally and voted for him.
Then I had a conversation with a very credible source; a woman who went to college with him. She said that he was quite the lothario, hitting on every white woman he became familiar with. NOTE: He dated these women and there was no indication of any physical relationships.
At that time, I took it in stride and didn’t really have my enthusiasm dampened. His message was always “small government” and “rule of law”. The legacy of Ronaldus Magnus must move forward.
Looking back now? He had no chance. DS had him by the shorts. Clowns would have savaged him.
I don’t know anything about him. I will research, but I would just note that one can perfectly well be openly gay and still be a conservative. If conservative were strictly socially conservative, a lot of us would have been long gone. I trust Trump’s judgement. Completely.
