Where do you get that from? Most government agencies do not have a mandatory retirement age, except for law enforcement.

You are correct that except for a few public safety professions, there is no forced age-related forced retirement in government. I was mistakenly extrapolating from what is happening around me in the private sector. For whatever combination of peer pressure and financial incentive reasons, most don’t work past traditional retirement age.
