Gran....that does sound exhausting.
I met a friend for lunch, today...and, when we were leaving I saw a lady walking out, with her walker.
Bless her heart....it must’ve taken her 10 mins just to get to her car (she was parked right in front), then another 10 mins to get her walker in her car, then another 10 mins to get in the driver’s seat and get situated.
Her friend tried to help her with the walker/get in....but she was having NONE of that. I was tempted to offer help, but didn’t dare, after I saw how she chided her own friend.
(It was kind of funny to see her exasperated friend walk off a bit miffed.)
God bless you, your friend and this lady I saw, today and her friend.
If we could all be so blessed!
Thank you Jane.
My friend isn’t like the lady you saw today, thank goodness, she is so appreciative of any help she gets.
We just had sooooo much to accomplish as I have been busy and haven’t been able to take her out.
Yes, people want to be independent as long as they can, and I don’t blame them. Just human nature.
