The president’s motorcade arrived at the Erie Insurance Arena after a short ride from the airport. The route has sporadic groups of supporters waving, holding signs and taking cell phone video.
Pool is in the press area in the full arena (capacity about 7,000 for hockey, probably a few thousand more including those on the floor), while Trump is attending a fundraiser in a separate room in this venue.
Per deputy white house press secretary Lindsay Walters:
“President Trump is attending a fundraiser hosted by Winning PA, a joint fundraising committee authorized by and composed of the NRCC, Mike Kelly for Congress, the NRSC and Lou Barletta for Senate.”
The rally to come is open press and will likely be live streamed by various outlets.
