It sounds like a statement we might expect from Kagen or Sotomayor but not a man touted as a staunch constitutionalist.
Does he see it as his job as a Supreme Court Justice to ignore fairness and equal treatment in order to address what he sees as the past failings of our culture?
Imagine the uproar if he announced that he wanted an all male staff because there are now more females graduating from college.
Why not just bring in the best and brightest without regard to plumbing, skin color, etc.
So much for balance and diverse viewpoints.
