Subject:**White House Pool 1a - No plans to fire Rosenstein*
Speaking to reporters outside the White House this morning, President Trump said he had no plans to fire Rod Rosenstein. “No, I don’t. No,” he said.
Trump was responding to a question from NBC’s Kristen Welker, who asked if he had any plans to fire the deputy attorney general. The loud chopping of helicopter blades from Marine One drowned out her question, which wasn’t picked up by boom mics and couldn’t be heard by the pool. Even POTUS couldn’t hear it, and he asked Welker to repeat it, which she did. Welker was kind enough to verify her question for the print pool.
