After scotus ruled that quotas were okay in the Alan Bakke case, I decided all my doctors would be white or Asian. Their decision made me lump all minorities into the same group, because I don’t know if they got into school on their own merits or not. It’s does a great disservice to those who work hard and learn what they get, and yet the question is always there.
All my life people asked me why I didn’t get benefits for being Indian. I told them I didn’t need to profit from my ancestors fate. I lived in a normal American family, my parents spent time in the services and then worked and paid taxes, I went to school and had the same opportunities other kids did.
