Don’t forget the numeg. My grandmother never used cinnamon and her Apple pies were amazing. I did put cinnamon in my apples but nutmeg too.
I use about half and half cinnamon and nutmeg. I also throw in some vanilla and a bit of cream to go with the brown sugar and butter (lots of butter). I won first prize at every fall fair with this recipe.
