You make an easy reference point in your own "My Comments" page by making a BFL, a ., or something else for ease of retrieval/viewing later.
You'll see it for a point of reference on these threads for someone to pick up where they left off reading.

I understand that some users do placemarks for their convenience.
Common years ago for someone to use "btt" that was different than a placemark. That was used for getting some attention to important threads that went stale.
Not trying to offend those that do placemark but here is what happened a month ago. Was a traveling and away from home trying to keep up on Q using a phone. Noticed 2 recent Q drops. Did not have a lot of data to use for internet, did not have much time. Opened a Q thread, have 50 posts showing per page. Of those 50 posts if after scrolling through; troll posts, responses to trolls (many more than troll posts), posts about pianos, posts about food, posts about owls (or some bird), place marks; there was only 4 posts pertaining to Q! Went to next 50 posts, a little better, 5 posts pertaining to Q.
Seems we should have a better way to placemark without requiring everyone reading the tread to see them.
I use this low tech method:
