How exciting! Are you going to post photos?

That’s an interesting question, having to do with my technical capacity to achieve such a thing. However, I will make pictures available somehow to those who are interested!

You know I would like a pic of Mom, Dad and the New Marine, and if the rest of the family is there, I’d like one of all the fambly. Just because. (Please?)

We’ll do our best. I think everyone is expected other than Tom and Anoreth, although Bill may change his mind depending on his job requirements. Anoreth said she couldn’t miss that much school, but even if she changed her mind, there’d be nobody to take care of her dog except Tom, who will be at work or school most of the time.

She’s supposed to go on the Outer Banks Marathon trip this weekend, which means Dog will be here with the Young Persons and me, smothered with affection.

I received a pretty Bill the Cardinal card in today’s mail. I’ll put it in a book!

Thanks—have always enjoyed your family photos but haven’t seen any for quite a while. One of my favorites was a group photo in which Tom appeared to be strangling a young Patrick.

It was probably just a gesture. We haven’t had pictures with a group of us in a long while, but I’ll see if DP will give me links to some of the ones he took on our hike on Saturday.

Aww... I have a couple more of those, I think. But I like all of the ones by the Paralyzed Veterans. I haven’t gotten any for a long time.

I went to get something out of the freezer in the fridge this morning and stuff came tumbling out. On payday, (the day after, actually) a quart of milk jumped out and hit the floor, breaking the container (plastic) and because it wasn’t completely frozen, it began to leak. So I lost a quart of milk and had to replace it when my food stamps came in.

Charlie gave me a bag of kidney beans, and I thought, everything is packed and I want some good stuff to eat. So I decided on ham hocks and beans because the slow cooker isn’t packed. HAH! Try and find ham hocks in Walmart. Wa-a-y-yy down on the bottom shelf of the pork section and just as far in the back as it was from the top. But I found two packages and one had two large hocks.

Putting it in the freezer was like, “Uh-oh.” So I decided, since I’ll be here for another year, I may as well plug the 5. cu. ft. freezer back in and use it. So I did that today and transferred everything I could to it. Meanwhile, another quart of milk hit the floor.

*sheesh*

Now then. Since SNRHA called on Saturday and wanted my SSA benefit letter for 2018, I took it up to the office this morning. While I was there I asked if there was a pet deposit for parakeets. Yes. There is. $150.00. *GASP* I said, “I have a letter.” And I walked out. How in the world can they charge $150 for BIRDS??? Never before have I ever heard of deposits for birds being more than $50, with most of them not having any deposits. This place obviously wants to run us ol’ folks out and get younger folks in who can pay all the exorbitant fees, costs and rents.

But don’t get me started.

The pet bribes are a real swindle. Bill the Son had to pay $450 for his free cat to live in his new apartment.

He finally gave us his address.

I guess I was lucky when my kids moved into their own apartment after they got out of the military. They were very good about giving me their addresses.

But yes, the pet “deposits” are probably extortion, if I can use the word. I mean, if you’re not a good pet parent, then the pets will show it, and I think that should be the main criteria in whether or not to charge a fee. But it would seem that a security/cleaning deposit would take care of that instead of charging a king’s ransom for a pet.

Management knows what our income is — its LOW! So why do they think we can afford such blackmail?

I’ve heard of one that says, “You can’t frighten me. I have children.” Do you have that one?

I might like one I can use to say, “Either do it my way or I’ll send a girl to beat you up.” Then I show the picture.

I used to have a t-shirt that said, “Who are all these children, and why are they calling me Mom?”

Squee!!! If dat floof had a little more white on him, he’d look like the late Evinrude. So named because of his enormously loud purr.

We got him as a tiny stray floof, all covered in fleas and ear mites. The pound would have put him down. I got some flea bath, the vet gave us ear drops, and after two baths and a bottle of mite oil, he was a clean and happy kitteh. His favorite place to be was on the back of the bench seat in the truck.

Made my Tuesday, this did! Thanks, and good morning!

Happy Tiwsday. We will vote today. I’m making lists for DP, Tom, and Sally. I’ll drag Tom with me: he doesn’t have to be at school until 11:30.

Our U.S. Representative seat is a real fight this year. I’m glad I voted for the Republican challenger in the primary: old Rep. Pittenger wouldn’t have run such a forceful race. He’s just a nice old guy.

How unusual for a marmalade to be female! But a beauty, nonetheless. (Marmalades are my favorite!)

Thanks for this one, too! :o])

I’m glad I don’t have to “go vote” because I don’t like going to the school next door. It was obviously designed for young bodies, because from the handicap parking to the voting area is about half a football field away.

I’m so tired of “how ugly, rotten and greedy my opponent is” that I’d like to pass legislation that says ONLY what a candidate is wanting to do, and saying nothing about the other person. Why do I care about what a candidate did 30 years ago? What is that candidate going to do for me, tomorrow? But don’t get me started.
