Well, good luck. I saw the news reports about the “brutal” Arctic mass. You can’t say an abortionist is “brutal,” but you can say cold air is.
Yes.
It's NewSpeak. George just got the year wrong.
What WILL be brutal if we get what they say is coming our way will be the Olde Deere not starting.
And so far this year when needed it has been as reliable as teenaged offspring.. ;-)
Oh boy, I completely misread that: They say ants are tasty. Especially flame-thrower armed...
see how arguments start. :)
Well..
The movie could have gone that way but instead of the mutant ants growing flame throwers they just giagantized. And ate people. And kidnapped little kids. And lived in the Los Angeles (or some other California city) sewer system.
Sort of like Democrats.
The world just got distracted.
It was the LA River, which really was a system of storm drains which has now (or was when I lived in LA County) completely fenced off to keep people from being drowned in any flash flooding. All that fencing could be down, now, for all I know.
But it was a great movie! For a few years after I saw it every time I heard a slipping fan belt in a car, the adrenaline would start to pump!
That was when Hollywood actually put out good movies with no swearing, no sex, no foul language and where sexy women were appreciated and adored. Producers, actors and directors were more concerned with producing a good movie than in sending a political message.
Da Morning floof looks like an Ocelot. I love the markings!
Good morning. Whatever has me in its clutches is beating me up. I just made the bed and had the steroid, and when I was done I felt as if I had run the St George Marathon. With no training.
Yesterday wasn’t so bad, but last night and this morning are making me wish I never shook hands with the sick peeps at church. I’ll know better next time. I’ll get them to talk to me first, and if I detect any hint of illness, I will refuse. I can’t compromise myself by trying to be friendly when my inner self shrinks from the extended hand.
You can smile and give a little wave and say, “I don’t want to be unfriendly, but I also don’t want you to catch my cold.” Thus, you don’t give the impression that you fear *they* might have something contagious!
I’m sneezy this morning - feels like allergy - and slightly stiff from the uphill hiking yesterday.
Good point.
Yes, I could do that, but I would have to feel better to die at this point. Needless to say, I’m not going anywhere today. I’d go in and lie down if I felt like concentrating on something.
I’m writing letters (trying to) and have decided to not touch the pages without gloves, and to use water to “lick” the envelope. And even that doesn’t sound fun.
Tomorrow, I think I’ll go down to the Tracker Guy and buy some of the honey that he has for sale. If I’m going to go “organic,” I want to get it from someone I know. I’ve been buying Manuka honey at iherb and I love the stuff, but I can’t buy enough to last a month, for the most part. I only use it in the herbal teas I drink. And this chest thing has me drinking five or more cups a day.
(Aw, man...just shoot me...)
Ugh, the Crud. I hope you feel better soon!
Thanks. My eyes feel all icky and my back is killing me and I have no interest in “things.” *whine-whine-whine*
Tomorrow being laundry day I have to get up and act like a real person, and with that in mind, I thought about going to check out the honey. But taking a second look, since I have a doctor appointment on Wednesday, I need to be able to go there healthy. So unless there is a massive improvement overnight, I have to stay in and take care of me.
There is no one else to do it.
No, but if it was left nearby I’m sure it would have been on the vehicle lineup at some point even if for only a little while.
That is so. Making smart choices today can pay off tomorrow and the next day.
Thank you for kitteh with eyes like limpid pools....
I didn’t get as far as I am by making bad choices. I have to rephrase that. I didn’t get as far as I am by making bad choices about things that are in the near future. The far future? I could write a book. Wait. I am. My personal history. I think now I can get back to it. :o]
I’m trying to hang on for another hour or two because if I go to bed too soon, the battery will die in the Kindle. :o|
That is such a pretty photo, Covenantor. I love steam trains and the backdrop is perfect! Thanks!
