Yes, doing fine here. I cleaned up in the girls’ room after church today, because I was looking for some swimming equipment. Now Pat and James are helping to make a meal that we’ll take to the youth group tonight. Pat mixed up a cake and put it in the oven!
You can have all kinds of fun with that.. ;-)
The interwebs are full of suitable pictures from Cthulhu to Marylin Monroe to.. (use your imagination ;-)
James chopped an onion!
No kippers.
But I do have sardines. The furbeasts don’t care what you call the fish..
There ya go.. (Hope he didn’t rub his eyes afterward. ;-)
Many moons ago (long before I turned 34) my Mother would have me chop/slice/dice/obliterate various stuffs - carrots, celery, onions, potatoes, tomatoes..
That memory goes back so far that I really can’t put an age range to it.
Also taught me what edge of the knife was sharp...
Thanks!
That was one of the cutest things I’ve seen in quite a while! I just sent it in a message to my son, and I’m sure he’ll get a kick out of it!!!
I replaced a valve under the bathroom sink.
I'm calling it a day's work.
GooGle, Facepagething, Amazon all run by pinko commie liberals. I avoid them as much as possible.
Unfortunately since Facepagething is how I keep in touch with certain family members, notably grandkids (and that’s a long story) I have to navigate the Zuckerflake mine fields.
So far my security stuff has proven effective. And speaking of Facepagething, I don’t remember that they asked me for a picture of me. This must be a new(er) thing - probably at NSA request.
I’ll need to get prepared should it happen. ;-)
Pat is negotiating with frozen garlic bread. James is boiling water.
Too ambitious for me. I’m recuperating from my previous efforts.
On the other hand, that sounds like the precursor to something spaghetti.
Ziti. With meat sauce. The youth group didn’t eat it all, so Family Members can eat the leftovers tomorrow.
Anoreth and Bill came over for dinner. Anoreth isn’t being paid due to the government shut-down, so we gave her some gas money and a hambone.
Pat has a Cooking Merit Badge. I’m surprised he accomplished that without learning how to chop an onion. Maybe his patrol gave that job to someone less prone to traumatic amputations.
Maybe Pat can make a cake for James’s birthday (next Saturday) with less assistance. And he can learn to chop an onion!
It's important for people, even in the most secure positions, to learn the value of networking.
If you can rely on your family in a pinch, it saves you a lot of anxiety.
“Go to church,” I tell them. “You’ll meet people who care about your well-being.”
Church — the original social network.
Maybe the second. The first was probably “clan.” Church is a family parallel to your blood family.
Once again I missed a very interesting conversation, but the truth is, I would have had nothing to contribute!
Good morning. Last night was an ugly night, as I thought perhaps it might be. But, I will get used to it. However, I remembered to re-set the mattress pad so it would shut off at 0200, and here I am. I get cold because I’m soaked from the night sweats and that’s a very effective alarm.
The laundry has been sorted and the birds have been uncovered and are once again singing the morning song of their people to the TV. Or me.
I’ll try to get out of here and over to the laundry room by 0400. Maybe I can get back onto a regular schedule. I really miss that hour I lose when I don’t get up until 0300 or later.
The neighbor got back sometime after I went to bed, and in retrospect, I feel bad for Snarly Harley. He really didn’t know me so I can’t fault him for snarling at me. I also thought I might have pulled the hair on his neck when I went to remove the snap from his collar, as his hair is long, thick and shaggy. Of course, he snapped at me but didn’t make contact, and that’s a good thing. I wore gloves just in case...
Good morning. If Snarly Harly did pee and didn’t bite you, then everything’s okay.
