They do. Here locally Henry Weinhard’s is selling for 4 cents per ounce. About the same price as Coke.

Friends don’t let friends drink Lite beer.
We have a Kentucky bourbon ale which is brewed in Lexington. It is aged in used bourbon barrels. Has a nice smooth finish and a very pleasant aroma.

Amen
There are so many good craft beers that were in existence in my wasted youth.
Of course those days I smoked cigarettes, so quality beverages probably would have been a waste of money anyway with my nicotine wrecked taste buds.

"Beer is proof God loves us and wants us to be happy" ...B Franklin I have a t-shirt which says that.
I then explain to people, "But hangovers are a proof that we live in a fallen world."

They still make it. And it isn’t any better than it was then. Just costs more.
I don’t know what it costs now, but it isn’t that much less than a decent regional craft beer.
Anyway, if a person can’t spend a dollar or two more a six pack to go from genuinely crappy beer to genuinely good beer they perhaps should not be drinking beer.

Hubby bought us Sam Adams Octoberfest today just for such a time as this. After 5 pm tomorrow, we’ll rename it to Red October Surprise!

Anyone try this? Firestone Walker 805 Beer...A Blond Ale
A light, refreshing blonde ale crafted for the California lifestyle. Subtle malt sweetness is balanced by a touch of hops, creating a versatile beer with a clean finish. 805 is the perfect followup to that ultimate surf session or to reward a hard day’s work

Raises the question, what brand of whiskey to buy? My favorite at the moment is Woodford Reserve - Double Oaked.
In my opinion; best flavor for the price.

Otherwise, Sam Adams Octoberfest or a Yuengling are apropos for the occasion! Typically, I do not drink light beer but Yuengling is the only light beer I have ever tasted that I found to have any flavor.
If you ever git the chance try Great Lakes Brewing Company Octoberfest.

Think the Lite beer cuts down on the beer belly. Only if you drink that same number of beers.
The people I know who drink light beer drink way more beers than I do.
I drink one or two full flavor beers in a sitting they drink six or more.

Might have either a Cigar City or a Coppertail (Tampa Brewers) or a Yuengling (Second brewery in Tampa) when Kavanaugh gets 51+ votes...
