Ahhhh...but you forgot about his presidential aspirations.

If the white hats had the leverage to force Flake's retirement from the Senate, they have the leverage to ensure a "yes" vote on Kavanaugh. This will make it possible for the few vulnerable Democrats to join in.

Maybe. But from recent reading and listening to him I’m guessing his anti-Trumpin’ has cost him support and money has dried up, and he couldn’t win the primary as a R now.

They didn’t need to leverage him out of his seat, he’s offed himself. He made boo boo.

My guess is he voted Yay in committee as head fake and will vote no for confirmation as his thumbs down dig at Trump. Dems will clap clap clap and welcome him.

MM must have enough votes to hedge the K vote if Flake, Collins, and Murk do the RINO dance.

Flake gets his last dig at Trump, goes home, washes the R off, and dreams of the prize of 2020 to get back in power somewhere as a Dem with their money to protect his cattle back home.

Of course, there is always the Q, and how do he do.

Ravings of a mad man and will defer to your AZ as having deeper knowledge.
