But is election fraud a federal crime, since state laws govern the voting process within states? Or has it changed since election fraud got put under DHS as it involves national security?
Election fraud in a federal election is a federal offense.
The federal involvement would only come under the effect on national elections or the election of Federal races ie House/Senate President/VP.
I would think it would involve the equal rights clause. For instance a tainted process in your state would deny your equal right under the Constitution.
