Not the 70’s (it was ‘85), but I note that the PC police have managed to expunge the line “That little faggot with the earring and the makeup - yeah buddy, that’s his own hair...” from “Money For Nothing”. And it took most of the song’s meaning with it when it went.
Last time I heard it on the radio, it was the version with the f*ggot line in it. Wasn’t he discussing Michael Jackson when he wrote that?
