I finally got to the grocery store yesterday mid afternoon. Very strange vibe in our little podunk town. There were more cars parked in normally empty parking lots than during a 4th of July parade day. Never saw such crowds. Felt like it was some universal group think (what’s the name for that?) to get stuff done before something happens.
Since we’re trying to eat down the freezer and pantry, it was mainly a quick run. The cashier said I was her best bargain shopper of the day. No coupons, just good sale items.
